At the start of year 2013 I knew it was destined for something great. Now two months in I believe that this is the year for self reflection and self improvement. The time for worrying about what others think or living a comfortable yet unfulfilled life are over.
Put God first in your life, from every decision or choice in your life God knows best. This year just rest in His grace and goodness. Know without any doubt that He first loved you and will love you forever. There are no stings attached, no ulterior motives, just a true genuine desire to love and take care of you.
The workplace. If you have been at your job for years and have not received any form of raise or promotion, make it your goal this year to achieve that. If you are unhappy with your career choice and are too afraid to change, it is time to overcome that fear. Living your dreams is possible it just takes a step of faith in the right direction.
Relationships. 2013 should be a year of healthy and growing relationships. Love does not hurt, it is not abusive, it should not paralyze you from being your best, and a person should not have to hide who they really are. Instead choose the path of honesty, laughter, companionship, kindness, compromise, and appreciation.
I did not make any resolutions this year. Instead, I decided to finish what I started last year and rest in God for greater things to happen in my life. I hope this entry comes as encouragement and that year 2013 becomes a year to thrive and get closer to the Lord.
